    About this Opportunity

    The ERP Solutions team is seeking a JDE Solutions Analyst to join the team on a contract basis. Reporting to the Group Lead, ERP Solutions, this role is accountable for providing primary support for the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Joint Venture JDE modules and associated reporting tools. The role also provides support for integration related issues and liaises with other integration related teams to ensure issue resolution across the entire process. Performing month end close duties, resolving data integrity issues, and maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOx”) controls are also responsibilities of this role.


    The ideal candidate will have Oil and Gas accounting experience, as well as past experience supporting JDE EnterpriseOne 9.0 financial modules.

    Work Environment

    This is a contract 12-month position location in our downtown Calgary office.



    • Support the Cenovus finance user community with business and application related questions.
    • Explanation of finance processes and how to complete tasks in JDE EnterpriseOne 9.0.
    • Maintain financial system integrity and cross-platform integration with multiple business areas including land, production accounting, financial reporting, employee expense, supply chain, and human resources.
    • System integrity is maintained through daily, weekly, monthly and annual processes which review data and technical system processes.
    • The integrated nature of business processes at Cenovus requires sharing of master and transactional data across systems. Regular verification of effective controls ensures these systems remain synchronized.
    • Support the month end close across the various finance departments to ensure timely and accurate financial results are available for management and financial reporting
    • Financial close including joint venture accounting, partner billing, foreign exchange restatement, depreciation, work in process, and depletion and amortization


    • Coordination of Annual Financial close to ensure regulatory compliance
    • Work with Treasury and Accounts Payable to schedule daily automated processes for vendor payments, bank reconciliation, and foreign exchange to
    • accommodate holidays in all jurisdictions where Cenovus does business as well as employee work schedules.
    • Coordinate the creation and testing of automated processes with EIS
    • Ensure effective operation of SOx controls and segregation of duties for system access and transaction approval
    • Manage the review and approval of system access for financial processes
    • Manage the review and approval for users with the ability to approval financial batches



    • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
    • Degree in business, accounting, system administration, or related area
    • Accounting designation considered an asset
    • 5+ years of experience on JDE EnterpriseOne
    • 5+ years of experience supporting ERP applications
    • 5+ years of related business experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
    • Experience with SQL queries considered an asset
