    About this Opportunity

    Reporting to one of the Field Managers at Christina Lake SAGD facility, this position is responsible for providing administrative assistance to Site Operations and Maintenance Site Services.

     

    This is a contract position working on a 8 days on 6 days off shift rotation in a camp based environment.

     

     

    Work Environment

    Our Christina Lake facility is a fly-in camp facility situated approximately 170 kilometers north of Lac La Biche. Transportation is provided to site from various departure points; including bus service from Cold Lake/Bonnyville and air service from Calgary and Edmonton.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide general administrative support to all the Operations teams which include Site Operations, Maintenance and Site Services
    • Collaborate with Site Leaders and FCCL (Foster Creek Christina Lake) Administrators to evaluate the current administrative service delivery across the operation
    • Review Administrative workflows for efficiency and make recommendations for change
    • Promotes a cohesive and collaborative team atmosphere with all admin staff across the operation
    • Work with other members of the team to ensure the on-boarding process runs efficiently and effectively
    • Process, verify, reconcile and/or provide coding for invoices as well as Visa and expense statements
    • Logistics coordinator for completion of Service Now system for new hires, staff moves/changes and terminations
    • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports, data compilation, and budget preparation
    • Develop and maintain a filing system
    • Ordering of office supplies and booking travel arrangements
    • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms. Time administrator duties for labour reporting, ensuring proper coding of billable time and make corrections as required
    • Provide mentorship to junior staff and provide absence coverage (includes mail, supplies, updating various lists, etc.)
    • Ensure the organizational chart and shift schedules are kept current
    • Provide meeting support as required (i.e. taking minutes, room setup, order lunch, etc.)
    • Support company sponsored functions and meetings, help organize and schedule
    • Other administrative duties as required

    Qualifications

    • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
    • Solid business experience with 5 or more years progressive administrative responsibilities, preferably within the oil and gas industry
    • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
    • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
    • High safety standards
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities, follow-up and meet deadlines
    • Trustworthy and able to uphold confidentiality and manage sensitive information
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of the company, external contacts and vendors
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and Microsoft Visio
    • Ability to organize company functions that appeal to a large number of people, while staying within a budget
    • Attention to detail displaying tact and good judgment in resolving problems and answering inquiries
    • An outgoing, positive and confident attitude
    • Be able to provide constructive feedback in a positive manner
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Other skills

    • Business Administration diploma or equivalent considered an asset
    • Knowledge of JDE Asset Management, JDE Labour Reporting and People Logistics Process (PLP) an asset
