    About this Opportunity

    The Workplace team is looking for a Change Management Specialist to join their group. This position provides change leadership for the Brookfield Place Calgary Tenant Improvement Project by focusing on the people side of change. We are seeking an experienced candidate with solid knowledge of change management principles and methodologies, a proven ability to plan and execute pragmatic solutions to drive adoption, and a passion to contribute to Project success.

    Work Environment

    This position is open to external candidates as a contract position and internal employees as an interim assignment as the project will complete in 2019.

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitate, develop and implement appropriate change management strategies based on the change involved and groups impacted
    • Follow change management standards and principles; using and modifying available tools and services to implement a structured, best fit change approach
    • Ability to influence stakeholder engagement including adopting a different way of working as workspace transforms to support the work
    • Works with business leaders at all levels to identify, engage and coach leaders to lead change in their group
    • Identifies potential people risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develops specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns
    • Works to assess change readiness and measure adoption by identifying and monitoring performance metrics that drive the desired behaviours and effective space utilization
    • Works to assess, develop and deliver end-to-end change programs to accelerate user adoption and achieve measurable results, including stakeholder engagement, communications, end-user training, workflow impacts, and other change measurements
    • Works with Communications to develop key messages by target audience
    • Assesses training requirements and works with Learning Services to build programs to increase engagement and adoption

    Qualifications

    • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
    • Minimum 10 - 15 years demonstrated abilities managing and executing change programs for Workplace transformations, or equivalent experience
    • Hands on experience and application of change management principles, methodologies, tools and techniques related to sponsorship, readiness, communication and training needs
    • Ability to work across business units and functional teams, with solid relationship-building skills and business acumen
    • Very strong attention to detail, team dynamics; proven ability to increase adoption
    • Excellent active listening skills and ability to create alignment toward a common goal
    • Proficient with various change management tools and the ability to identify and mitigate risks
    • Effective estimating, planning, and scheduling abilities encompassing critical path identification and management, reporting change management progress on a weekly basis
    • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment with minimum supervision
    • A valuable team player with the ability to motivate and engage team members
    • Strong analytic skills
    • Able to facilitate timely, appropriate change management decisions with awareness to implications and impacts
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and complete change programs successfully
    • Strong people, organizational, written and oral communication skills, presentation creation
    • Experience and knowledge of business analysis and benefits realization
    • Preference will be given to candidates with oil and gas experience
